Chinar Book Festival

The students and faculty of Government Degree College, Pulwama participated in the Chinar Book Festival 2025 held at SKICC, Srinagar on Friday, 8th August 2025, as the lead college for GDC Rajpora, GDC Tral, GDC Women Pulwama and GDC Awantipora. The event was organized by the National Book Trust, India, in collaboration with the National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language (NCPUL) and the Srinagar District Administration.



The festival was hosted at the scenic back lawns of Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre under the chief convener, Dr. Amit Wanchoo. More than just a literary gathering, the festival reflected the spirit of learning and cultural pride in Kashmir. In an era often marked by isolation, such events unite writers, reader and thinkers from across the country, inspiring engagement with our rich literary heritage and sowing seeds of hope and understanding for future generations
