Awareness regarding SIGMA- Students Integrated Grievance and Messaging Application

The NSS Units of this college organized a Student Awareness and Counselling Program on 20th and 21st August 2025 regarding the SIGMA (Students Integrated Grievance and Messaging Application) portal launched by the Director Colleges, Higher Education Department of Jammu and Kashmir. The initiative aimed to sensitize students about the online grievance reporting and redressal system, ensuring direct, confidential, and prompt communication with higher authorities without intermediaries.



A campus-wide drive was held through pamphlet distribution, QR code postings at prominent spots, and verbal counselling sessions across different locations of the campus to ensure maximum outreach. Hands-on training was imparted to the students on portal use, including login, messaging fields, and submission procedures, so as to build their confidence in using the application. Students from all semesters and disciplines participated enthusiastically, reflecting the success of the initiative in creating awareness about this student-centric platform.
