The NSS Units of this college organized a Student Awareness and Counselling Program on 20th and 21st August 2025 regarding the SIGMA (Students Integrated Grievance and Messaging Application) portal launched by the Director Colleges, Higher Education Department of Jammu and Kashmir. The initiative aimed to sensitize students about the online grievance reporting and redressal system, ensuring direct, confidential, and prompt communication with higher authorities without intermediaries.

On 12th August 2025, Govt. Degree College Pulwama organized an awareness programme under the Viksit Bharat Youth Ambassadors–Yuva Connect Programme (VBYCP). The event, held in connection with International Youth Day, aimed at sensitizing students about the MY Bharat Portal and the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047. Students were informed about the registration process on the portal and the importance of their active role in fostering leadership, dialogue, civic engagement, and nation-building.

Government Degree College Pulwama organized a one-day seminar on 29th July 2025 to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel under the theme “National Integration and Unity of India with relation to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.” The event, held in the college auditorium, was coordinated by the Debates and Seminars Committee in collaboration with the college NSS units.

As part of the Independence Day 2025 celebrations, Government Degree College Pulwama organized a Solid Waste Management Awareness Rally in its adopted village of Barpora, Pulwama, on 12th August 2025. The rally was flagged off by the worthy Principal, Dr. Haris Izhar, and witnessed the enthusiastic participation of a significant number of students and staff. The event was coordinated by all four NSS Programme Officers, with Ms. Waseema Hamid acting as the group leader.

The students and faculty of Government Degree College, Pulwama participated in the Chinar Book Festival 2025 held at SKICC, Srinagar on Friday, 8th August 2025, as the lead college for GDC Rajpora, GDC Tral, GDC Women Pulwama and GDC Awantipora. The event was organized by the National Book Trust, India, in collaboration with the National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language (NCPUL) and the Srinagar District Administration.

To commemorate National Science Day in the backdrop of Viksit Bharat campaign, a special talk was organized by the Department of Chemistry Government Degree College Pulwama (Host Institution) in the Innovation Cell of the college on 28th February 2024.

Awareness programs on "Viksit Bharat @ 2047" were organized jointly by the Departments of Biotechnology and Botany on 15th & 18th December 2023 in the college Incubation Centre. Digital J&K Week 2023 was held from August-31 to September-6th 2023 in J&K. The event celebrated J&K UTs digital transformation and showcased the UTs technological achievements.
